Yes dig or drill 8-12" diameter hole, put the beam in and brace vertical, fill 
with concrete to ground level or use form and go above grade. Have never had 
one move.after concrete sets.

Does it mean that you bore a hole up to 8 to 12" wide and 4 to 6 feet high,
put a beam inside, and fill the hole with concrete?
How do you determine the length and the size of the hole?
