COMMENT: Background x-ray radiation is now at the B3 level. As an active region
responsible for several C-flares and (partial) halo CME will come in view, we
expect the radiation to go still up. At the moment sunspot group 10 (NOAA 0669)
and the sunspot group 12 from which we can now only see a glimpse on the
east-limb
in MDI pictures, make the solar weather. The solar wind speed is now 350 km/s,
the north-south component is small and fluctuates near the neutral. This is
translated in k_p indices of 1 as given by NOAA. Izmiran measured also local k
indices of 1. These conditions will continue in the near future.
