Got up at 1415Z, rig on at 1420, checked 1825.5 mHz for 8Q7AA, but nil.
Heard a big pile of 6s & 7s on 1831 +/- calling BY1QH. There he was, on
1827.5 calling CQ. Worked him at 1425Z, then listened to him CQ,
obviously not hearing the pile.
His signal built to 599 from 1440Z to 1450Z, when I heard him work W6SVN
and KN6DV, then his signal was back down to 569 at 1455, and barely
audible at my sunrise at 1458Z.
Considering how unbelievably strong he was at the peak, and his inability
to hear most of the stations calling him, I'd say that he must have a QRN
problem.
Any new news on 8Q7AA?
