Gosh, you did?!? I wish that I would have heard him work me!
Recent BY1QH + 160 report from here:
14Jan 0304z Called BY1QH on 20 meters. I talked to a Chinese student
op at the University Club station. Asked about the American group.
He apparently didn't know anything about them or even the fact that
they were due to arrive.
15Jan 0500z Heard OZ1KRF CQing on 160. Turned amp on (Ten-Tec Titan).
I didn't hear anyone calling him until--
15Jan 0504z Called and worked OZ1KRF (569). OK1DOT called me after--
I said up one.
15Jan 0508z Worked Petr (OK1DOT). He was 579, then 589.
Worked 27 additional Europeans calling me. The static level was
high for January. Several EU were 599 (finally good conditions
return); several I had to struggle with due to the static...
15Jan 1250z No DX heard on 160.
15Jan 1331z First hear BY1QH on 1827 (549)
15Jan 1345z BY1QH signal peak--559
15Jan 1348z Local sunrise
15Jan 1400z BY1QH now 549
15Jan 1410 - 1415z BY1QH just heard on peaks--left radio at 1415...
15Jan 1428z ???Worked BY1QH??? I guess that it was the ultimate in
ESP QSO's--I didn't even have to use my rig...
I heard BY1QH come back to KV0Q, NA0Y(?), and I think you Charlie
(W0YG). Based on my weakening memory, I'm not sure that any of those
were complete QSO's based on at least BY1QH's poor copy on all but a
few of the stronger 6 & 7's.
Maybe tomorrow...
73, Bill K0HA
