Hi Don,
My MkV Manual on page 17 shows the 4-pin RTTY Jack. Nothing is labelled
SHIFT.
Pin 1 goes to TNC FSK OUT
Pin 2 goes to TNC AF IN
Pin 3 is PTT
Pin 4 is GND
