What does it take to be disqualified for this? How many rules
violations does it take. Are the same people doing this every year?
every contest? multiple times in a contest?
Mistakes happen but are one offs not a patterned behavior.

Below 7100 is a far cry from a temporary spill over below 7125. It’s sloppy point and
click operating from cluster spots. Regardless of what the RAC says on the subject , I
don’t recall seeing any such exception in either contest or FCC regs for US hams.

You might have logged them. While the edge of the US 7-MHz SSB band is 7.125, here in
Canada the SSB band edge is 7.040. The Canadian band plan published by RAC has a note that
“During major weekend contests, activity in certain modes can spill over into other
segments”. So in my opinion what you noted is a temporary violation in the heat of a
contest. We can still avoid beacons and emergency frequencies.

Definitely a lot of that. More than a few US stations called us below 7100. We
didn’t log any of them and politely informed them of their error. No idea what anyone
else did in response.

I'm not a SSB op, but got on to work a few stations in the contest. I
heard a number of DX stns CQing below 21200 and USA stations were calling
them.
From what I can find online, the US phone band starts at 21.200. Is this
correct?
If so, does the log checking software disallow the QSOs that took place out
of band? If so, for one or both sides of the QSO?
