Hopefully, the acrimony of disagreement can be tempered by adherence to the
usages of polite debate. Thus, even if the opposing view is considered to be
infantile bunk dreamed up by a demented mind, one does not say so publicly
(private correspondance is different); neither should one publicly attack
the intelligence, integrity, morals or honesty of one's opponent - all of
which attacks I've seen on this reflector. After all, this isn't politics,
where all those characteristics are unlikely to exist.
