Nobody is going to change an existing event. Contest sponsors do what *they* 
want to do.  If folks want other rules, then it will take other sponsors.

The only place where this is going to lead is to a new event (or a CWAC 
[contest within a contest]) of an existing event.

For instance...the CQ WW VHF is coming up. Officially, it is QSOxGRIDS scoring. 
There's nothing wrong with using a logger that calculates DX-based scoring and 
then submitting the CABRILLO file to CQWW, where they will score it by their 
own method. :))))  That's a CWAC!
