Hello
I haven't been following this thread fully, but in Limited Rover you
are only limited to any 4 bands? Could a limited rover choose
2304,3456,5.7 and 10 gig?

I agree Steve. The new rules (among other things): (1) put the
Unlimiteds in their own Class, where they belong; (2) put some
reasonable contraints on the standard Rover Class by limiting the extent
of "pack roving" to 100 contacts with any other one Rover; and (3)
create an interesting Limited Class for those who have no ability or
interest in running 5-10 bands, but who still want to compete and have
fun.
Still a Rover, Mike K6NC/R

this "Rover" is done.....not worth the headaches

the vhf-uhf gear can collect dust now.......
maybe we can have a nice qso on HF or psk sometime :)

You've got to be kidding me. Obviously, you do what you feel is best
for you, but the new roving rules are fantastic! You can either stay in
the current Rover class which is unchanged except you can't contact any
single rover more than 100 times in a contest. You can go with the new
Unlimited class if you want to circle the grids in a convoy or you can
go to the new Limited class where you're limited to a modest, low cost
station. I don't see how this is anything but good. It means you don't
have to have your score compared to some guy with nothing to spend his
money on but a multi-thousand dollar rover-mobile.

I think the new roving rules are great. It has me very exicted anyway.

Steve
