My two cents.

I would be in favour of some beacons, as they would allow more continuous 
prop studies than can be achieved by clg CQ.  I think that 100 W WOULD be 
useful, as, when used with Spectran, this would give enough signal to be 
useful.  They can be ID'd by timing rather than actually hearing the call.

I'm surprised that beacons in the US have to be attended.  If this is so, 
how does W6WX get away with it, or are the rules for 160m different?
