I think the intentions here are good but the potential to upset someone is
also there and not the intent. I agree with K9JS'S comments below regarding
the spirit of the rules. If we can move the permanent circle and include
someone who is not now in the circle while not loosing someone then lets go
for it. I think temporary shifts are asking for conflict and would shed a
bad light on us among other clubs.

if it is indeed legal for you to
"shift" the circle for different ARRL contests (I'd venture a guess that it
is not, and if not "legal" I kind of think it violates the spirit of the
rules at least)
