Comments:
Yesterday's Aurora went up to 137 GW and the
wait is for an even bigger one today (but the
forecasts are unreliable in timing/magnitude).
Solar X-rays were a mere B6-level during the
session, but there was enough spare ionization
from preceding flares to hear AH6KO weak trying
to reach SN5N on 14 MHz. A bit later I heard
VE6RST, but no other DX today. The QSO's went
even 24/24 for both 7 and 14 MHz. Nil on 21 MHz
while checked around mid-session.
I have shortened my CQ early this month to format
TEST OH5ZA OH5ZA appearing to be most efficient.
Improving antennas would be the way for improving
scores. Maybe to hire the forest at 100 ft... ??
Cheers/73, Zaba OH1ZAA #1856 CWops
