I agree. I may have been confusing my Omni manual with my Drake TR4CW manual. They are both out in my barn shack. Its to cold to go out and check. I am still trying to talk my wife into letting me move it into the house.

Hi John,

The information needed to perform a complete alignment of an Omni VI may
in fact be contained in the manual. However it is not all in one place
and listed in the most efficient order. Each of the circuit boards has a
text description of how the circuits are supposed to work, and in most
cases how to adjust them. A start to finish list of adjustments, in the
best order to do them, for the whole radio, not just individual boards,
would be nice.

I have an Omni 6 and an Omni 6+ and the manuals seem to be pretty detailed
to me.  Most of the manual is devoted to descriptions of componets and
service information.
What is it that I am missing here? I would think that with the information supplied that any person with an electronics back ground could service them.
