I don´t find that rule for late WPX logs, neither in the qualification
criteria nor in the selection policies for WRTC 2018.

This rule of removing WRTC points for 'late log' was added recently. I can't
see if this is a good practice to update rules while qualification race is
ongoing.
I sent my log few hours after the deadline, HOWEVER: I'm compliant with WPX
rules, my log is valid, my QSOs are confirmed, my score is listed (was not
re-classified as a Checklog!). I simply won't receive a paper certificate.
This is very disappointing that I'm punished two times.
Personally, I do 260 km to operate every contest and a lot of arrangements
are made to free up time. Then I see zero WRTC points.
By the way, Africa is split in two separate areas however one TL will be
selected. That means, a competitor from South West Africa can have ALL WRTC
points each contest with only few QSOs made and get qualified, while those
in North Africa where competition is hot will stay home.
I didn't comment on that previously, I understood that rules are made and I
should respect them. But please consider re-visiting this new rule of "late
log".
Appreciate the efforts you are doing to make WRTC2018 a successful event!
