Regarding Terry's question and avoiding the east/west issues, I would keep
scoring as it is. Here in the "RF Wasteland" of the desert southwest most
folks do not ever consider a transverter of any kind. If it's not plug and
play inside a popular radio it just doesn't happen. That includes 222 Mhz!
So, for that reason alone I think those who take the initiative to expand
basic appliance capabilities should reap the benefit of those extra contest
points. That is, of course if there's anyone to talk to.......
