Besides Reverse VUCC (or VUCC/R as the Society also calls it), Central States
VHF Society ALSO sponsors an
award for "Annual" VHF & Up activity...everyone starts anew on July 1st
(through June 30th of the following year). Rather than Grids, though, it is
States and Provinces that count (even though only "States" are referenced in
the name).
Check out the CSVHFS "States Above 50 MHz" Award at:
http://www.csvhfs.org/CSVHFTST.HTML
Rules and results back to the 1995-1996 year are at that web page.
More participation would be welcome OR would someone/somegroup want to use that
as a guide for an Annual Grid-based activity award? For example, I could
envision something like Grids worked on higher bands getting a multiplier
(similar to how it takes fewer Grids to achieve the VUCC awards on the higher
bands, possibly along the lines of how QSO Point values increase in the VHF and
UHF Contests).
Maybe it's not necessary to totally re-invent the wheel here.
Just some more 'fodder' for discussion.
