In one of the contests last year I was logging with paper and pen and 
worked someone on 6m who faded out right after I worked him. I wrote down 
everything but his call! I never heard him in the contest again.

I left the QSO out of the log but I did try to figure it out later when 
the logs were published.  He didn't submit a log, and who I worked is 
today still a mystery. At least I know his grid square!
