Stated earlier by me was a comment about dropping laser to increase the
activity on bands below it. Continuing on a similar vein, I think it would be
very beneficial to have one of the three VHF contests stop at 5.7 Ghz. This
may increase activity on 5.7 Ghz which many know needs more on it. It also
will give those with bands only below 10 Ghz a better chance of getting in
with the top scorers.
Those stopping at 3.4 can either go for 5.7 gear, or beef up their 3.4 station
for greater odx. In VE3, presently we only have VE3SMA active on 5.7 Ghz
primarily as a Rover, and no base station presently using that band.

Comments please.

73,

Bill VE3CRU
