One of the problems I can see with not logging a dupe is, what happens if  
you have them in your log previously, ( for whatever reason, miscopied call,  
thought you worked them, whatever!)
And you are not in their log!
In other words, you are out a QSO and a possible points loss
and if you do it enough, a DQ Following!

contests...and truth be told I don't mind the not logging dupes  so
much.   If memory serves me correctly, the VHF does the same  thing
unless there is a "/R" as part of the call to account for  Rovers.

If you express your concerns to Scott, he may do an update to  allow
dupes to be logged.
