That is what I use, specifically Belden 8267. LMR400 is not really not much
better. Assuming that this is not a 100 to 200' tower, why not use the same
coax all the way down the tower and eliminate the top connector?
REPLY:There are several variations of LMRxxx cable. No suffix = solid
copper-coated aluminum center conductor. I would avoid it for anything that has
to repeatedly flex.

I always thought a top connector was a good way to ground the coax to the
tower at the top. It also makes it a lot easier to replace the loop if need
be.

Currently, among other modifications, I'm reworking the transition from the top
coax arm on my tower, to the mast (three feedlines). I realized that, the last
time I dealt with the rotator loop, I didn't quite allow enough cable for 360°
rotation. The new setup involves brackets and bulkhead fittings on BOTH sides
of the loop. I'm using DX Engineering pn DXE400MAX cable.
