Jim,
Thanks. I am talking about the coax from the rig to the antenna not the
rotator cable. The coax will go through the 3 coax arms up to the boom.
So just secure the coax back along the boom and leave some slack in it and
secure it at the top coax arm? The antenna is 1 foot above the top of the
inner section of the crank up.
Apologies for any confusion.

Your question is ambiguous, Charles. It's unclear what loop you're talking
about. If it's the rotator loop, then it should be taped to the mast along
several inches (minimum), and then taped again to the tower (or coax arm, if
it's a crankup tower). In my experience, people often make the loop too
long. If properly installed, it only needs to accommodate a +/- 180 degree
mast rotation. Long loops can get caught on things, which you definitely
don't want.

I hope to have the beam on the tower tomorrow.
How much of a loop in the coax below the boom should I leave and is it best
to secure the coax to the boom for a certain distance from the so-239 back
to the mast and put the loop in and then secure it again to the boom on the
other side of the loop.
Thanks
