Per a tip in ON4UN's book, I have packed petroleum jelly (Vaseline) inside
UHF connectors for years. Keeps out water forever and is very cheap. It
degrades in sunlight so it won't keep the outside dry but inside it just
keeps on working.

What about the coax filler made by Cross Devices called STUF?  You
fill the coax connection with it then tighten the connectors.
Supposed to keep moisture out.  Found in the center of page 129 of the
Spring/Summer 2004 AES Catalog.
