Someone on the list suggested soldering ground cables to the ground rods
and/or connectors. This would be a big mistake! Not only is it against
code, it will render the joint useless in the case of a direct lihgtning
hit. The soldered connection would vaporize during the hit and much of
the energy that should be diverted to ground will seek a path elsewhere!
Not a good situation!
