Subject: radals fer 60 vertcal
To: topband-request@contesting.com
Hi all.
my gud Antenna book "Radio Antenna Engneerng" by EDMOUND LAPORT
say's a system off 120 radial wires spaced 3 degrees "AND HAVNG A
LENGTH OF ABOUT ONE-HALF WAVELENGTH",approaches the conditon of a
perfectly conductng ground within about 2 percent fer radiator heights
of 45 degrees or more (p82)(p49)
does this mean that 1/4 wave long radials is incorrect
also he says the first 1 degree of radials should be above ground abt
18 inches on tb
