Hi,
I used electronic log submission for the first time after I played a
little in the Stew Perry. Like some of the others I am not personally
thrilled with the ideas behind LOTW but I have been unaware of how other
hams use it. I plan to setup on LOTW and transfer information there from
my paper. I am more interested in shorter, more relaxed contests like
sprints and state QSO parties. County hunters and some others might
harvest what they are looking for if do that.
Over the years I have been in places with a LOT of personal
responsibility. I won't be entrusting any of MY records to LOTW or any
computer "cloud". I will, however, share copies of my records (as
appropriate) with LOTW and similar.
