easons on 160, always with the same conclusion. I've
finally decided that
it doesn't help in my situation because I seem to have bad
line noise
coming from nearly ALL directions, and, as I understand it,
the 1026 only
works against a single point source.>>

I wonder where that info comes from? On the web?

It can null farfield noise sources from one general
direction, even if there are multiple sources.

It can null a nearfield source even if it is not a "point
source".

By the way, a "point source" does not mean it is a noise
from one source or even one small physical area. It only has
to look, to
the antennas, like the noise all comes from one general
area. If it is a fair distance away it can be a distributed
source.
You could even have two or three sources making noise and
null them, so long as they appeaer to be from one angle.

There are, of course, cases where you have multiple sources
in different directions or even a single source that appears
to be from multiple dirctions. No way to get rid of them.
