My station and my contesting ability do not warrant my entering any
contest with the intention of beating any competition. The primary
reason I enter any contest is to have fun. It affords the opportunity to
have many QSOs in a short period of time, which to me is fun.

It's not much fun tyring to squeeze somebody's report out of the noise
because they are weak. I'm sure it is equally frustrating to them if I
cannot hear them or get their report.

Therefore, regarding QRP versus QRO, my vote is for everyone to avoid QRP
if possible during contests -- especially those on 160. Besides, the
Stew Perry contest by name is a "Distance Challenge", and greater
distances will be worked with QRO than with QRP.

I will continue to use QRO during contests knowing that I'll have more
fun (QSOs) and more DX, even if it means "losing" the contest - I always
feel like a winner from the fun of operating, anyway.
