Great discussion site. Note this piece applies to ALL aluminum foil and
copper braid construction shielded coaxial cables not just LMR-400. On
another related thread there was an opinion that LMR-400, Belden 9913, and
similar shielded cables should be only used inside where they are NOT
exposed to temperature, vibration, and similar stresses. Your mileage may
vary but if you are in a multiple transmitter environment (trunking
repeaters, iDEN site, or multi TX contester, etc) you should probably pass
on these cables and stick with the Heliax(r) type cable.
