It reads in part, "penetrates and lubricates...Drives out water...Leaves protective film against rust and corrosion...Un-jams and lubricates..." I guess it was intended as a lubricant. A better product (sold in three "grades" ranging from 1 (like WD-40) to 3 (almost like a spray grease) is LPS. LPS also manufactures an instant cold galvanizing compound which comes in both spray cans for tower touch-up and in large cans for brush application. Almost anything containing petroleum distillates or oil will displace water.
