>your missing my question.
I'm not sure what your question is
>My question is DO I SETUP a DIRECT /30 route for EACH radio or is it
>better to put all the radio's in a /24 and use 1 direct route?
if you gave each radio a DIRECT /30, then you wouldn't be able to have more
than one Satellite talk to that radio (e.g., you only have 1 IP left w/ the
/30)
Better would be to give each radio a DIRECT /26...so it would look like this
and assume connected to that radio, you have two Satellites that you've
delegated /29s to
your routing table would look like this
x.x.x.x x.x.x.x DIRECT 1
192.168.1.65 255.255.255.192 DIRECT 2
10.0.1.8 255.255.255.248 192.168.1.66 1
10.0.1.16 255.255.255.248 192.168.1.67 1
x.x.x.x x.x.x.x DIRECT 3
and let's say you added a micropop off that same interface (so you've got
another AP-1000, w1 Sat, w2 Base)
and you'd delegate 192.168.2.64 / 26
and there's a Satellite off of that you've given 10.0.1.24 /29 to
now your AP table would look like this
x.x.x.x x.x.x.x DIRECT 1
192.168.1.65 255.255.255.192 DIRECT 2
10.0.1.8 255.255.255.248 192.168.1.66 1
10.0.1.16 255.255.255.248 192.168.1.67 1
192.168.2.65 255.255.255.192 192.168.1.68 1
10.0.1.24 255.255.255.248 192.168.1.68 2
x.x.x.x x.x.x.x DIRECT 3
and your micropop AP would look like this
x.x.x.x x.x.x.x DIRECT 1
192.168.1.68 255.255.255.192 DIRECT 2
192.168.2.65 255.255.255.192 DIRECT 3
10.0.1.24 255.255.255.248 192.168.2.66 1
Does this help? (it's times like this, when you hope/pray that you're
getting your KarlNet from the right place)
