We're Contesters, not DXers.
That's why we have no problems coming back to calls like "AR", "GD" or
"SS"...
:))
BTW, is there anything in that code about blindly clicking on DX spots?
Thanks.

Sending partial calls is frowned upon by the DX Code of conduct:
6. I will always send my full call sign.
I have heard that many stations, especially big guns and especially DX, will
not respond to a partial call. It means they have to ask for a fill every time.
That slows them down. I am surprised that ops at W3LPL allowed that. Send your
full call and maybe they will get it.

In case you didn't read my post on 3830scores.com (and why would you?)...
I did Saturday night and a bit of Sunday morning at W3LPL. When I got home
Sunday I did one "fresh meat" run on each band, 10M, 15M, 20M, 40M. Great
rates, for 15 minutes or so. However (quoting myself):
A comment/complaint: Some of the European Big Guns (especially the
multi-op's) were VERY aggressive callers. I'd send a partial call, and
several other stations would keep calling. I guess they needed the MD
multiplier.
