If it is 120. Volts or
if it is 240. Volts it doesn't matter an appropriate THREE pin plug is correct, * there is no other wire or pin to consider, any method that makes it work is fine.   Operating on 240. Volts is superior as it allows the use of thinner wire and a lesser current through plugs and switches.  AWG 10. should not be necessary.

_In the amplifier_ there is no neutral, only L1 and L2.
