Sure you can use vac. relays if they can handle the current. My point was that they're not necessary and since they are usually expensive, why use them when open large surface area contactors can be used. Something like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/292427662769 but I also see a plethora of vac. relays for sale so I guess I'm out of it on cost.
