Replaced the fuses, started the amp this ayem on 40. All seems well, its been
putting out 1k + all day without a hitch. I too am inclined to leave well
enough alone until something lets go big time.
Btw, what did Ameritron have to say about it?

Interestingly enough, I just asked the Ameritron people the exact same
question...
My amp has done this a few times as well... The support folks
indicated that the Step Start Relay may be sticking... I have not
looked at mine yet, as the amp seemed to stop this sort of action a few
days ago...
