Well of course initially I poured scorn on the complainers. But I have an
E4406B spectrum analyser. So, I got a second opinion from myself. Sadly, they
were right +/- 300Hz @ -50dBc. On VHF we can run a little more power before
being castigated too much. I dislike FT8, not the mode but some of the users.
There is no system in the world that can hear weak DX at the same time as a guy
running 10W to a vertical who is 2 miles away.
However, needs must. I don't like radiating a poor signal.

Is it your exciter?
Are you over driving your radio from the computer?
Since you run 1KW on FT8, have you been put on the "BUD" list and banned from
FT8 for life?
Everyone knows that you can't run more than 1 microwatt on FT8....
