Dave,

I am skimming on 6M at K3PA-#.  Actually, I have two skimmers, one on 160 through 15M, and another for 15 through 6M.

The low band skimmer is on a 22 ft vertical with a Hi-Z style buffer amp, unity gain.  Receiver is a QS1R.

The high band skimmer uses a horizontal omni, basically a resonant Squalo for all 4 bands.  It is a bit like the MFJ cobweb antenna mentioned here recently.  The squalo is about 25 ft high but I hope to go a little higher.  A low noise preamp is used,  specifically a PGA103+ based board with about 20 dB gain.  Receiver is another QS1R.

Drop me a note if you have any questions!  See you on the bands...

73,

Drew K3PA
