Hi Guys,

As soon as you connect headphones to the front socket the loudspeakers inside and external speaker is disabled so it doesnt matter how you configure the audio controls I cannot get them to all work at the same time.

I agree on the RF control, and this is always the way I have run a RX whatever the type -but the trouble is that the S meter doesnt work.

Dave

One more thing.......

Never use any outboard (DSP) processor for the audio. The greatest asset of the ORION is its ability of a wonderfull recovered audio presentation.

Use your RF Gain, never set it above 90. Ever. Not even on 10/12mtrs.

So, .....actually two :)

Hi Barry and Mark thanks for the info - I think the internal L/S is disabled
when the external L/S is plugged in, the same with headphones - but Ill
check those suggestions again.
Just thinking about it I have my headphones connected to the back exp L/S
via an external DSB audio filter so that may be the problem.

Thanks  Dave

I would like to monitor the 2nd RX by loudspeaker and use the headphones for the main RX and wondered what is the best method to do this. I could
use the line output socket at the back but I may have missed an easy
option?

Why not use the EXT SPKR output on the rear panel (or just the Orion's
internal speaker) with Audio configured as Left/Right=Main and
Spkr=Sub?
