Not to drive the topic into the ground, I thought that the explanation and opinion(s)that Jim Brown K9YC posted earlier regarding his preference for the TT 229 and 238 were extremely helpful. His comment, "whether you're running 100W or 1.5kW, it's crazy to throw away 1-2dB in a tuner, and, as ARRL tests show, it's common for that to happen in most tuners with some range of loads that you're likely to encounter." made a lot of sense.
