Actually the Elecraft XV50, XV144, and XV222 are very much an
Elecraft design and share next to nothing in direct
commonality with the DEM transverters. They are however very
similar in overall circuit design/concept but they use
completely different circuit boards and an almost completely
different set of components.

There *is* however a DEM 2M transverter designed to be
installed inside the QRP K2 and is intended for use as an
intermediate IF for microwave transverters using a 144 MHz
IF. That DEM model is the 144-28ECK. It does not have a low
noise front end device and will only generate 100mW of TX
power. It also provides essentially 0 dB of gain. As such it
is not intended to be used directly on air.

There is also a DEM 144-28FRS that is very similar to the
144-ECK that is designed to go into the Flex Radio SDR-1000.
Flex Radio actually offers it as a factory option. It too is
meant for microwave transverter intermediate IF use.
