Yes, in the Omni VI+ the DSP is in the circuit all the time even if the
function is not activated. The A to D conversion and the D to A conversion
leaves a bit to be desired, hence the Paragons and the Omni V's do sound a
good bit better. They all use the same basic analog audio chain.
