Hmm does sound like a problem, then. Other reports for over a year have generally been very complimentary of the Orion receiver including independent review by ARRL Lab. Do get with Ten Tec by phone, and let them go over it. I find their service EXCELLENT. Another thing I do for any rig with strange problems is inspect the coax jumpers internally and grounds. We had an RFI receiver at lab that had a bad crimp on a 3 inch coax jumper and that wreaked havoc with it.
