Hi Mark, A couple of simple fixes, run an external tuner in front of the receiver when you are listening to SW. Construct a simple series trap tuned to the AM BC band in a shielded box. Run it across the antenna input, hot side to a ground. You must be in the near field of some BC stations or other RF source that adds to other signal levels and overloads the front end. 73, Stuart K5KVH We have had similar problems for years at the Univ.
