Clive,
I made a serious effort to learn Iambic keying some years ago.  It worked OK
in practice, but on the air my old "bug" fist prevailed and all I sent was
garbage.
Now, after years of using twin paddles in "straight mode" I'm not sure I
could use a single paddle keyer.
Iambic keying has some advantages, but I wonder how many hams actually use
it.
