I guess I could get stressed about the loss of some score due to this, but
it’s going to happen some and I just don’t get too worried about it.

We made our first excursion in a new rover in the January contest and I
know there were multiple instances where either we crossed a grid and
forgot to update the logger (yes, I know it can be automatic, but we didn’t
have that in place) or just as common Ops that misstate the grid because
they get confused as we cross multiple grids. For the next contest I’m
going to have a small display at each position that says what the grid is,
but it’s still possible to quote one grid verbally and then cross a grid
and log the contact with the other grid. Obviously, paying closer attention
is important, but mistakes will happen.

Having said all that, if I had a record-breaking score and the LC
corrections dropped it below the record, I’d probably be pissed.
