Regarding the PAR stressed Moxon: I use that antenna at 13' 6" on my rover
station. It's mounted on a rotatable mast that allows remote pointing while
in motion. It tolerates highway speeds and gusts just fine regardless of
azimuth position. It does *not* tolerate the slightest contact with tree
branches or even small twigs! I carry a spare side arm for that
possibility. Bent side arms will straighten once but probably not twice. A
branch an inch in diameter would probably destroy the entire antenna, but
there aren't many of those here in New Mexico.

Electrically the PAR Stressed Moxon provides at least a couple of dB gain
over a loop; probably a bit more. That's a noticeable difference. It has a
wide pattern and great F/B ratio.

I like the PAR stressed Moxon because it breaks down easily into a small
package, it works pretty well, and the PAR company is great to work
with........ Recommended.
