I have used the 6M KU4AB loop while roving with good performance and no
problems. It is equivalent in mechanical construction to the (now
discontinued) KB6KQ 6M loops that I have at my home station.
However, if KU4AB is not fulfilling orders, that's a different problem
entirely.
I *have* heard of the PAR "Stressed" Moxon coming apart at highway
speeds in rover usage. In stock form, the side pieces are only held in
place by the friction of the mounting holes in the front element under
mechanical load of the rear wire element (this is the "stressed" aspect
of the design). But it should be easy to remedy this is a couple of
screws with zero impact on the electrical performance...

I was not familiar with KU4AB. So, I went to the KU4AB website. He has some
interesting antennas, at good prices. The tri band antenna looks very
interesting. But, if he doesn't perform, it isn't very cheap or very good.
Maybe somebody will forward these posts to him.

AJ4LU and I used one for several run and gun rover ops, covering 20+ grids at
70 MPH. We even turned it in motion with no issues other than mounting it
backwards the first time!

I have a 3 element yagi for 6m, but it seems a bit too much for me to take out on the rover for contests. So in May I ordered a 6m loop from KU4AB using the website. After months of waiting, a phone call, and several emails, I gave up and consider my $87 lost. But this provided the opportunity to look into other antennas and came across the PAR Moxon. The company was very responsive and the antenna performs nearly as well as my yagi. Its a bit bigger than the loop might have been, but it fits just fine on the rover mast and has some gain. I have not yet experienced 60mph highway speeds. If anyone has any experience with the PAR 6m Moxon in a rover application I would like to know if it holds up or if I should take the wire and side "sticks" off while traveling.
