Happy Mother's Day to all.
Four down and one to go for the 2011 Spring Sprints.
I have "finalized" the set of logs for 144 MHz, 66 total.
The set of logs for 222 MHz is also final, 41 total.
The DEADLINE for 432 MHz log submissions is this coming THURSDAY, May 12th,
so don't delay, get your log in to join the other 39 logs that have been
received as of this morning's logs received update. It *might* still be
possible for a snail-mailed log to get to the P.O. Box by Thursday but
please TRY WA7BNM's Web-to-Cabrillo form to submit a log entry for 222 MHz
as opposed to snail-mailing a paper log. The log submission deadline
for yesterday's Microwave/902 MHz & Up event is May 23rd (and, as of this
morning, 9 logs have been received for the Microwave Sprint).
THIS next Saturday brings the FINAL Spring Sprint event for 2011, 50 MHz. It
is on Saturday, May 14th, 2011, in the afternoon and evening for North
America, starting at 2300 UTC on May 14th and running through 0300 UTC on
May 15th...please "ignore" some incorrect information that ended up in the
May, 2011, QST. Let's hope for some "E" and maybe the more "consistent"
kind...not the "sporadic" stuff ;-) so the band is "full" from 50.125 to
50.200 (and above?) and don't forget the CW segment, 50.090 to 50.100. I
also remind 'state-siders' to remember to NOT call CQ in the DX Window
(50.100 to 50.125), okay to answer CQs from DX stations that you might find
in that range (and wouldn't it be great if there were a bunch of them in
there for us TO work during the Sprint!).
