AF6O is quite right about reading the regulations.
In the US, you have to sign your call as VE3CRU/W3, not W3/VE3CRU. The special
agreement between Canada and the United States has it that way. Hams from other
countries will sign with the US prefix first. Visitors from the US to Canada
will sign K7CW/VE7, not VE7/K7CW as you see once in a while.
Speaking of how to sign while in the other country, why not look into taking
the exam in the US and get a US call if you visit often?
