Bill,

I should have been a bit clearer in my wording; the trade I was making was
between an inverter and a generator. The assumption was that we would get
the continuous current by having something recharge the system.

Further, the inverter favors continuous operation. We don't stop when we're
driving. We have 10 to 11 bands operational at all times including stack
rotation.

With and inverter vs. a generator, we don't have to worry as much about
where you operate from. We can shoot the tower up on any road side peak
without worrying about waking people up with generator noise.

Weather also helps decide the trade - in the northeast you either need heat
(cold toes) or air conditioning (hot equipment) so the vehicle will be
running anyway.

BTW, we use this brand of inverter in our RF test vans at work, as well.

Bill

Hi Bill, OK I was a little confused.. You said the only issue with the
inverter was that you had to keep the engine running, but it really has
nothing to do with the inverter, only the amount of current drawn from the
battery..

It does look like a nice unit though...
