I went with an RV--specifically an Itasca Sunstar. I have used it mobile in state QSO parties, but my one attempt at a VHF contest as a rover was a bust. The RV has lots of advantages including a second battery, a generator, dual AC, etc. It may not be the best solution for a rover vehicle, but for the ham trying to combine family activities with contesting, it is worthy of consideration. 73, Jim N3AWS _______________________________________________ VHFcontesting mailing list VHFcontesting@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/vhfcontesting |
